What is the energy system?
Boostive uses an energy-based approach to task management. You set your daily energy capacity (default: 100 points), then assign an energy cost to each task. The energy gauge shows how much energy you've allocated, helping you avoid overloading your day and preventing burnout.
How does the energy gauge work?
The energy gauge is a visual indicator that changes color based on your remaining energy. Blue (100-50%) means you have plenty of capacity, Orange (50-20%) signals you should be mindful, and Red (20-0%) means you're at capacity. If you exceed your limit, you'll get a burnout prevention warning.
Do I need an account to use Boostive?
No! Boostive works fully offline without an account. All your data is stored locally on your device. Creating an account is optional and enables cloud sync so you can access your tasks across multiple devices.
How does cloud sync work?
When you sign in, Boostive automatically syncs your tasks to the cloud in real-time. Any changes you make are saved locally first and then synced to the server. This means you can always use the app even without an internet connection.
How do I set up notifications?
When creating or editing a task, you can set a reminder time. Boostive will send you a local push notification at that time. Make sure notifications are enabled for Boostive in your device settings (Settings > Boostive > Notifications).
Can I customize categories?
Yes! Go to Settings > Categories to create, edit, or delete custom categories. Each category can have its own name, color, and icon. Use categories to organize tasks by project, area of life, or however works best for you.
How do I change the app theme?
Go to Settings > Theme to choose from 8 beautiful color themes: Calm Blue, Forest Green, Sunset Orange, Ocean Teal, Rose Pink, Lavender Purple, Midnight (dark mode), and Monochrome. Your theme preference is saved automatically.
How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link via email. Tap the link to open Boostive and set a new password. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all synced data from our servers. Please note this action cannot be undone. Your local data will remain on your device until you uninstall the app.
What languages are supported?
Boostive currently supports English and Korean. You can switch languages in Settings > Language. The app will automatically use your device's language setting if supported.
